Modoc County Fair

Today was the horse show at the our fair. Chantz and Sage did SOOO good. I am so proud of them. They both rode Tabu, because gramps was showing Chantz's horse Pedro in Elko. We love Tabu they truely don't get much better than him! It was Sages first time showing and she won 1st in one western pleasure class and 3rd in her other western pleasure class that had about 20 kids in it for ages 13 and under. Chantz won 3rd in western equitation 13 and under and there was about 20 kids in that class too. Chantz also showed in the stock horse class that was for ages 19 and under. He WON 2nd!!! out of about 16 in the class. I am beyond proud of them. For the last month they have been getting up at 5:30 or 6:00 am so they could ride before it gets to hot. It's amazing how well hard work and practice pay off. They are very pleased with themselves ... oh and did I mention their PROUD mom! Today was also the first day of school....needless to say we know where our priorities are...HORSE SHOW. Who starts school on the first day of the fair anyway! The school called Westons cell phone because it was an unexcused absence (why they called him is beyond me) he told them that they were running a fever....FAIR FEVER...I thought I was going to die laughing. I can't believe he told them that. As if they shouldn't have known half the school wasn't there today and there was a bunch of controversy about the fair and first day of school being the same day. Besides I told their teachers they wouldn't be there today.....give me a break!

The Saga Comes to and END!

Well I am finished....12 days and 4 very long books later. I have to say I am more relieved than I thought I would be. I am glad I finally know the outcome so I can get back to reality. At least I have the movie to look forward too! More than anything I am looking forward to getting so sleep!!!

I CAN'T believe it has come to this...

I know you are not going to believe this. Lately I have had it with my hair I've been contemplating going to someone here in town, but I have trust issues with my hair. My long lost friend Kelli is in Wyoming now and you don't know how close I have come to just getting in the car and making the 14 hour trek to Wyoming. She has done my hair for soooo long that I just don't trust anyone else. Since I have moved we have still been able to make it work with even if I had to go 3 months before my hair got done. Well I decided that I could teach Weston (I know what your thinking) to at least put color on my hair. He was all game...even excited. I didn't know if that was a good sign or not. So I showed him the basics and coached him through it. He thought he was so cool! I will never hear the end of this one. I will post a picture later of the finished product, but here are some pics of the process. Look at the concentration on his face. Sorry about the flash I was taking the pictures in the mirror. I am going to have to break down and have someone cut it, I am not even going to think about letting Weston try that one!

Eclipse

So I am finally done with Eclipse....Although it only took me a couple of days it seemed like an eternity. I am starting on Breaking Dawn now. I can't stand the suspense! And yes just for reassurance I AM Crazy! Weston will tell you that! I am just glad I am not the only one!

Another one down

I finished New Moon and I have started Eclipse now. Despite my eyes burning, exhaustion and FITHLY house nothing has stopped me! This is an OBSESSION...pathetic! I told Kelli I don't think I have ever been addicted to anything besides diet coke.....it is truely sad! But on I go I don't know if I will be happier when I finish all 4 books or sad because it has ended!

Twilight Series

Oh my Gosh!!! My niece Kierra has been obsessed with this series for sometime...when the 4th book Breaking Dawn came out she happened to be here and you would have thought that it was Christmas! She had me curious...then I find out that practically everyone I knew was reading the series including Kelli. I knew if Kelli was reading them it couldn't be that scary! So I borrowed Twilight from Kierra and started reading and reading and reading. I could not put that book down! I started it on Thursday night and finished at 2:00 am Friday.....I couldn't stop reading...it was the best book I have read in I can't remember how long! So the first thing I did when I got to Reno on Saturday is head straight for Walmart to buy New Moon the 2nd book in the series. Weston forbid me to start reading it, because he knew what would happen( I would forget anyone else was there). We went to the water park on Sunday and I started it, but spent more time in the water than reading...it was HOT! So when I got home last night I started in again.....finally at 1 am I forced myself to put it away and get some sleep. I am half way through and quite frankly I am scared to start reading tonight as I am looking at my MESSY house and piled up laundry and I am getting quite sleep deprived! But I just can't resist. So I thought I would post this so if I am a little delusional for then next few weeks you'll know why.

NAG, NAG, NAG!

Do you ever feel like a Nag? Lately that's all I think I do....Have you done your homework? Have you brushed you teeth? Have you fed the animals? Have you done ALL your chores? Stop messing around and eat your dinner! Stop teasing your sister! Stop fighting! NO-NO-NO...Wow I am feeling worse by the minute! I really try not to be, but how else do you remind forgetful children about what they are suppose to be doing? Never thought I would admit to being a Nag....but I think I am. Anyone know a cure all!!! And for some reason when ever I think of Nag this is the kind of image that pops in my head(below). Do you see any resemblance?
