Love My Lawn

Whatever it takes to get it started!
What A Handsome Boy

When we bought the house we had no lawn at all. I begged Weston to plant lawn, so we made a deal. I promised to water it and mow it and take care of it if he would plant it. (He was afraid that with him working out of town he would plant it and I would just let it die.) I do hate to mow the lawn, but I wanted lawn worse so I agreed to the deal. I now have lawn all around my house and I LOVE it. I can't believe how well it has come in. We first planted it in April and it has grown so fast and looks so good. We broke down and bought a lawn mower today so we didn't have to keep borrowing the parents. Chantz wanted to mow the lawn (remember those days when you thought this kind of stuff was fun) so despite my worries with all the horror stories you hear about kids and lawn mowers I decided that he was big enough. So I got him started and watched him the entire time. He did a very good job-guess I have to come to the conclusion that he is going to grow up! Plus bonus for me.....I now have a lawn mower!! I don't know what I would do without my little helper. He helps me soooo much.

Puppy Needs A Home

We are getting REALLY attached to the puppy. He really needs a new home. He is now 7 weeks old and I just finally put an ad in the paper and put flyers up. So if anyone is interested in a really cute puppy let me know.

Lost Tooth

BEFORE.....................................................................

AFTER............................................................

It took about 2 hours to convince her to just pull it out as it was dangling by a thread, but she finally did it. Or should I say I finally got sick of it and yanked it out myself. This tooth has been so loose for about 2 months. It first started out that she wasn't going to pull it until after Daren and Megan's wedding because she WAS NOT going to be a toothless flower girl and look funny in all the pictures. Then after the wedding she was just being a wimp! She was eating corn on the cob tonight and practically pulled it all the way out. It was seriously hanging by one little corner and she wouldn't pull it out. She went from it hurts to I will look ugly with my front tooth gone. She says now that it was just and excuse so she didn't have to pull it out. DRAMA!!!! Would we expect anything else from little Miss Sage? The tooth is now in the tooth pillow waiting for the tooth fairy and all it good.

Never A Dull Moment

Chantz is finally home and I am soooo glad. But he gave me a scare today. We spent 3 hours in the emergency room getting an x-ray on his foot. While he was at vacation bible school this morning he decided that he was going to be the one to jump the highest and farthest and doing so landed on his foot wrong. It is the middle of his foot that hurts. The doctor couldn't see any break, but wants the radiologist to look at it (and he won't be in until Tuesday). (Those of you who don't know we don't have the greatest hospital here.) So he got sent home on crutches with his foot wrapped in an ace bandage for now. He was thinking it was pretty cool to have crutches for about the first couple of hours, then when they started hurting his armpits he changed his mind. We are finally home for the night and he isn't feeling so well....hopefully the motrin with kick in soon. He is a tough little feller though!

4th of July Fishing Derby

Our 4th of July started off bright and EARLY. They were having a kids fishing derby and of course Weston had to be there and hour early "so we could get a good spot". So there we were at 7:00 AM ready to fish. Although Sage didn't have any luck catching a fish she did win a tackle box in the drawing which she is very proud of.
Chantz is with his gramps doing horsemanship clinics. I am missing him like CRAZY! He has been gone since the 18th of June since I had to got to Chicago for work him and Sage flew to Utah to visit Kelli and her kids before they moved to Wyoming. They also got to celebrate Dayna's Bday with her. They got to stay with Misty and went on a tour of the Dinosaur tracks. I think they practically lived in their swimsuits at the Veyo Pool and the new water park. Sage came home on the 26th when I came home from Chicago (thank goodness I was having kid withdrawls). Pretty funny when she had to go to Utah to get her California Girl Tan. So anyway Chantz went to work on the ranch and help his Uncle Giggle (Owen) move cows for a week, then his Gramps picked him up to take him to some of his clinics and they are going to visit the cousins and aunts in West Jordan and they will FINALLY be home on the 13th. That day will not come soon enough. Since he has been gone I appreciate him and every thing he does for me more and realize just how much he does for me. Not to mention I don't like doing his chores! Ha Ha! He is the kind of kid that leaves and impression where ever he goes. I am so proud of him, and I don't know what I would do with out him! Ok- now that I am in tears.....I don't think I will ever let him leave his mom again.......yes I do mean EVER! I hear people talk about how they can't wait for their kids to grow up and leave home and have a family of their own. Bull.....not me I don't want my kids to EVER leave. It will be the worst day of my life!

We ended the night with a few fireworks.....the picture below is Weston and Sage being the geeks that they are doing the chicken dance during the fireworks.

Puppies & Kitties

Maddie had 3 puppies on June 6th. Although we had some bad luck 2 of the puppies didn't make it and so we are left with this cute little feller. I am trying really hard not to get attached.....he is so cute and has such personality. Our cat that Sage calls Wendy had 5 kittens on June 15th. 4 white ones and one tiger striped one. Now what do you suppose I am going to do with them!

Daren & Megans Wedding

At the end of May we went to Bremerton Washington for Daren and Megans Wedding. The wedding was beautiful! We had a blast. Sage danced and danced and danced. We all had a great time and it was a beautiful day. Welcome to the family Megan. We love you and Daren and are happy to have you in the family.

Vacation in Reno

So.. here is the story behind this beautiful wig. Toree has this pink blanket that she puts on her head and calls it her pink hair (I think she really thinks it is her hair). She wants long hair so bad. She struts around like a princess and wants everyone to tell her how pretty her hair is. Now -the problem that Kelli has with it is that she wants to wear the blanket on her head ALL the time even to the store. Grandma Colleen lets her of course so that makes it even better. When we were shoppin in Reno I found this Hannah Montana wig on clearance............so being the great friend I am I thought oh Toree will love this and her mom will be sooooo proud of me. Kelli was not impressed she now has to convince Toree she doesn't need to wear her "long hair" every where they go. It was seriously one of the funniest things I have ever seen. She was spinning around and tossing her head and flipping it over her shoulder as I was encouraging her and telling her how beautiful her long hair was to make matters even better. Kelli and I laughev sooo hard. Hey what are best friends for right!! I know Kelli wouldn't expect any less from me. Love ya Kel!

We met Kelli and her kids Cole, Lainee, and Toree in Reno over Memorial Day Weekend. We had a blast. Although the weather was not great and spoiled our water park plans we still did lots of other things bowling, movies, circus circus, and much more.

Awana Grand Prix Derby

This is the Grand Prix Derby that the kids make cars for and participate in. It is put on by thier Awana Club. The have a blast.
