Where did February Go?

I can't believe that February is almost over.....we have been very busy this month with roping, Chantz birthday, new pigs, Sage's Play, and to top it all off wrestling just started today. Anyway here is a little overview of our month.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHANTZ

I can't believe my boy is 10 (double digits...unbelievable). He begged and begged to have a sleepover party. We (mostly Weston) finally gave in. Six 10 year olds.....can you say HEADACHE!!
Opening presents!

Happy Birthday Pard! We love you.

4H Pigs!

Chantz got his pigs for 4H this year. He is pretty excited about finally being old enough to show something at the stock show. I think pigs are so cute when they are little, but I am sure about the time it starts to warm up and they start stinking I will change my mind. I want him to name them Shrek & Fiona, but he is disagreeing. He has yet to name them....so any suggestions?

Sage's First Play

Sage wanted to try out for the play Rumpelstiltskin this year. This company called the Missoula's Children's Theatre comes to town every year and puts on a different play. We missed it last year because we were out of town. She got a part as a villager and had a solo singing part. She loved it! She had practice everyday last week from 3:00-8:00 and never once complained.
Her performance was on Saturday and she did a great job. If I ever figure out how to download videos from my video camera onto the computer I will post it on the blog.

Ready to go to the performance!

And The Winner Is.......

Chantz WON his first Big Loop Roping! Chantz, Weston, and my dad competed in Klamath Falls on Thursday at the Big Loop Roping and won the novice class. Chantz has always done well roping and placed a few times, but this is his first win. Chantz also won the award (custom headstall) for fanciest head shot!!!! He did so good and of course we are so proud of him. He was the only kid competing, so he beat all the adults! He was so excited. When it was over I went to congratulate him and he said, "My legs won't quit shaking." Sure enough his skinny little legs were just a shaking in his stirrups!
My pictures are really bad...but I had to post them anyway. A photographer friend of ours was there and she took tons of pictures so I'll post a link to her website when she gets them posted.
The winners getting their awards -$200 each and a saddle pad!

Another heal shot.

Kitchen Remodel

I said I would post pics of the kitchen when we got it finished and I am just now getting around to it. Anyone who seen my kitchen before the remodel will understand why I am so excited about this. When we bought the house 2 years ago the first thing we were going to do is remodel the kitchen and finally it is done. I love it!

Before & During....

Chantz couldn't wait to sledge hammer this "half" wall...or in his works "TEAR DOWN"

I think the kids enjoyed the TEAR DOWN more than anything. They were really good helpers. They packed up the whole kitchen my themselves....I was at work and Weston was so sick sleeping on the couch while they did it.

I wasn't quite fast enough getting the before pictures before they started demo...there were cabinets next to the fridge. The exterior door is right on the other side of the fridge.
1970's Oven that didn't work work a crap!

Most disgusting tile counter tops you have ever seen!

New Kitchen

After....

Notice the dishwasher!!! I didn't have one before so it is extra exciting!
