Update

So it has been awhile since I have posted.....so I thought I would let you know what been going on in not so sunny California. The weather has been miserably cold, wet, and windy. Of course this would all be while we are starting baseball and freezing our you know what's off.

We went to the Harlem Crowns (wanna be Harlem Globetrotters) basketball game here at the first of the month. It was ok.

Little League started on the 19th and my co-worker convinced me to be on the Little League Board (I don't know what I was thinking) just what I needed one more thing to do!

This past weekend we spent in Red Bluff at the Californios Ranch Roping. Chantz did pretty good he had a little bad luck in the roping....but won the horsemanship and ended up 4th overall. He had such a great time....he always does. He said he wishes it could be Californios everyday. All the kids are such great friends.....and he has friends that actually like to do what he likes to do there. Sage the poor little thing was sick pretty much the whole time we were there and spent most of her time in the camper.....she never gets sick so I felt so bad that she had to get sick while we were there. The weather there was great 80-85 degrees, then I come home to Alturas and have to turn on the heater. I have been a slacker on the picture taking lately so I will get some pics of baseball and Californios and post them later.

We are looking forward to Memorial Day Weekend, my friend Kelli and her kids are meeting us in Reno for the weekend so we can have some fun before she moves to Wyoming. We are also looking forward to Daren and Megans wedding to see everyone and visit (what I do best as we all know).

Easter

We had a fun Easter! On the Saturday before Easter Chantz had a wrestling tournament in Tulelake, so Sage decided to stay home with Gramps and Grams and color Easter eggs. She continued to play hide and find the Easter eggs with gramps and grams until she had completely worn them out. So she decided she was going to play by herself. She hid all the eggs and then started playing something else. Grams asked her what she was doing, why she wasn't finding her eggs? She said she was trying to make her brain busy so she could forget where she put the eggs so it would be funner to find them! When I heard the story I laughed so hard I nearly peed my pants....where in the world to kids come up with this stuff!

On Easter morning the kids woke up to a note from the Easter bunny sending them on a scavenger hunt that started here at the house and ended over at gramps and grams house. They had a blast! We spent the day playing the wii and just relaxing at gramps and grams. Grams is quite the boxer on the wii. We had a great day!

Chantz Wrestling

It has been awhile since my last post, but my last 4 weeks have been consumed with wrestling tournaments, Little League Meetings (I got talked into being on the board this year), and work of coarse. Chantz has had Wrestling ever since we got home from Utah. He has been doing really well we are so proud of him. He got a 4th at his first tournament and 2nd at all the others. He loves it and as you can imagine so does Weston. Weston started wrestling with all the high school student to help get them ready for Nationals.....he had a blast. He gets a little excited on the mat when his son is wrestling can you even imagine that.

Now Chantz has started baseball practice and continues fiddle lessons, and roping and riding for Californios the end of April. He is a busy little boy that's for sure.

Kids and Cousins

We had a great time visiting family in Utah. We can't believe how big all the cousins have gotten. Chantz celebrated his birthday playing Laser Tag....they had a blast. Chantz also had a blast playing golf on the computer at Uncle Brandon and Aunt Dayna's house. We also got to be there for Aspens birthday. Sage of course malled the babies to dealth. Rylan is quite the character. McKinley is already so big! Graycee....what a precious little cuddle bug! She seemed extra tiny after holding McKinley. They just grow too fast. Riata is going to be taller than her mom in no time. Kanyon is still the entertainer of the group. Kyle and Nate aren't even boys anymore they are polite young men. Skyler hasn't changed a bit all he cared about was playing with Chantz....didn't hardly know anyone else was there. Those precious little Albrecht girls I can't believe Aspen is already 5, and Dallee or should I say smiley what some cuties. Kelli, Cole, Lainee, and Toree (our adopted family) we had such a great time with them. Love you Kel, don't know what I would do without you. Weston is now addicted to Guitar Hero thanks to Owen and Skyler. We miss you all.....can't wait to see you all again.

Skiing again! Someones addicted!

We went skiing again on Saturday. It was the perfect day to ski. The sun was shining all day and we even had to take our coats off it was so warm. We had alot of fun. The kids are pros by now. They even went on the T-bar and the harder ski runs that had me scared to dealth. As many of you know this was only my 4th time skiing (and I am chicken....I don't seem to fall as softly as I used to for some reason HA! HA!) so I pretty much just snowplow down the hills. The T-bar was the scariest for me though, and Chantz he goes up it by himself like a pro. I would have been just as happy staying on the rope tow bunny hill all day, but no...my family has to do the hard stuff. The kids have too much of thier fathers NO fear in them!

Here's proof that I actually did ski not just take pics. Although I am sure feeling every sore muscle in my body today. I can't remember the last time I felt all of these muscles.
Sage was being such a goof ball. It was pure entertainment just to ski down the hill with her to see what the next thing she was going come up with would be.

Chantz going up the T-bar!
Sage and Weston on the T-bar.

So photogenic aren't they! I made them stop to take pictures in the middle of the ski run, Chantz wasn't so enthuised about it. But that's what moms do right!

Skiing

Today we went skiing at the little ski hill they have on Cedar Pass just about 20 minutes from here. They have a small lodge with a rope tow and and a T-bar. It is all run by volunteers. It is pretty neat. This was Chantz and Sages first time skiing and they caught on so fast, especially Sage (which really surprised us) their instructor was really good and had them skiing in no time. Needless to say the kids are now both addicted to skiing. They didn't want to leave. They ended the day entering the ski races and Sage won 2nd in the girls and Chantz won 3rd in the boys. Not bad for their first time skiing.

It has now snowed for days and days now. They are saying that this is more snow this area has gotten in more than 15 years. Weston is getting snowmobile fever. Especially after skiing today.
(Just noticed that I should update the date on my camera)

Sage and Nikki

This is Sage's favorite thing her American Girl Doll Nikki! Although if you call her a doll you will be quickly corrected by Sage that she is not a doll she is her little girl. She is so cute with her. She was so surprised when she got her for Christmas, because she had checked the American Girl website everyday for a month and it always said that Nikki was sold out. She came to the conclusion that she must have been a really good girl and another girl that had asked for Nikki before they were sold out was bad so Santa gave her the doll instead. I wonder how her mind works so fast all the time, she never misses anything and she will argue with you until you give in if she thinks she is right (which is most of the time). Unfortunately her dad and brother get great joy out of teasing her about Nikki which usually ends in tears which then make them feel bad.
