Vacation in Reno

So.. here is the story behind this beautiful wig. Toree has this pink blanket that she puts on her head and calls it her pink hair (I think she really thinks it is her hair). She wants long hair so bad. She struts around like a princess and wants everyone to tell her how pretty her hair is. Now -the problem that Kelli has with it is that she wants to wear the blanket on her head ALL the time even to the store. Grandma Colleen lets her of course so that makes it even better. When we were shoppin in Reno I found this Hannah Montana wig on clearance............so being the great friend I am I thought oh Toree will love this and her mom will be sooooo proud of me. Kelli was not impressed she now has to convince Toree she doesn't need to wear her "long hair" every where they go. It was seriously one of the funniest things I have ever seen. She was spinning around and tossing her head and flipping it over her shoulder as I was encouraging her and telling her how beautiful her long hair was to make matters even better. Kelli and I laughev sooo hard. Hey what are best friends for right!! I know Kelli wouldn't expect any less from me. Love ya Kel!

We met Kelli and her kids Cole, Lainee, and Toree in Reno over Memorial Day Weekend. We had a blast. Although the weather was not great and spoiled our water park plans we still did lots of other things bowling, movies, circus circus, and much more.

Awana Grand Prix Derby

This is the Grand Prix Derby that the kids make cars for and participate in. It is put on by thier Awana Club. The have a blast.

Sage...she is just growing up too fast!

Sage loves to help in the kitchen. I have to amit I am not in the kitchen much and when I am cooking I am not real patient. So she cooks with my mom all the time. She has a little apron she wears when she is over there, and she loves it. I bought her these litttle easy bake dessert and told her she could make them all by herself (you would have thought I told her we were going to Disneyland) she was very excited. She was so cute she let Chantz help her, but he quickly got very bored! Weston snuck in to take a picture of her, but you know her when she discovers there is a camera around......CHEESE! She is so funny. Weston ate one of her desserts and evidently didn't pay attention to which one he was TOLD to eat (didn't know there was a difference). Well he ate the WRONG one! Now you would have thought you took her best friend away. He ate hers because it had more pink! He was suppose to eat the one with the BIG spoon in it, because dad always uses a big spoon. There was tears, hugs, and apologies and everything was all better. Maybe dad will pay more attention to his dessert instructions in the future...Ha Ha! Needless to say there is never a dull moment with children!

Well, what can I say about little Miss Sage. Really not much has to be said about her usually the picture says it all. People are constantly coming up to me at the games and telling me how cute she is.....not something you normally hear at a baseball game, huh! So at least she has cute going for her if she hasn't quite found her athletic side.

Update

So it has been awhile since I have posted.....so I thought I would let you know what been going on in not so sunny California. The weather has been miserably cold, wet, and windy. Of course this would all be while we are starting baseball and freezing our you know what's off.

We went to the Harlem Crowns (wanna be Harlem Globetrotters) basketball game here at the first of the month. It was ok.

Little League started on the 19th and my co-worker convinced me to be on the Little League Board (I don't know what I was thinking) just what I needed one more thing to do!

This past weekend we spent in Red Bluff at the Californios Ranch Roping. Chantz did pretty good he had a little bad luck in the roping....but won the horsemanship and ended up 4th overall. He had such a great time....he always does. He said he wishes it could be Californios everyday. All the kids are such great friends.....and he has friends that actually like to do what he likes to do there. Sage the poor little thing was sick pretty much the whole time we were there and spent most of her time in the camper.....she never gets sick so I felt so bad that she had to get sick while we were there. The weather there was great 80-85 degrees, then I come home to Alturas and have to turn on the heater. I have been a slacker on the picture taking lately so I will get some pics of baseball and Californios and post them later.

We are looking forward to Memorial Day Weekend, my friend Kelli and her kids are meeting us in Reno for the weekend so we can have some fun before she moves to Wyoming. We are also looking forward to Daren and Megans wedding to see everyone and visit (what I do best as we all know).

Easter

We had a fun Easter! On the Saturday before Easter Chantz had a wrestling tournament in Tulelake, so Sage decided to stay home with Gramps and Grams and color Easter eggs. She continued to play hide and find the Easter eggs with gramps and grams until she had completely worn them out. So she decided she was going to play by herself. She hid all the eggs and then started playing something else. Grams asked her what she was doing, why she wasn't finding her eggs? She said she was trying to make her brain busy so she could forget where she put the eggs so it would be funner to find them! When I heard the story I laughed so hard I nearly peed my pants....where in the world to kids come up with this stuff!

On Easter morning the kids woke up to a note from the Easter bunny sending them on a scavenger hunt that started here at the house and ended over at gramps and grams house. They had a blast! We spent the day playing the wii and just relaxing at gramps and grams. Grams is quite the boxer on the wii. We had a great day!

Chantz Wrestling

It has been awhile since my last post, but my last 4 weeks have been consumed with wrestling tournaments, Little League Meetings (I got talked into being on the board this year), and work of coarse. Chantz has had Wrestling ever since we got home from Utah. He has been doing really well we are so proud of him. He got a 4th at his first tournament and 2nd at all the others. He loves it and as you can imagine so does Weston. Weston started wrestling with all the high school student to help get them ready for Nationals.....he had a blast. He gets a little excited on the mat when his son is wrestling can you even imagine that.

Now Chantz has started baseball practice and continues fiddle lessons, and roping and riding for Californios the end of April. He is a busy little boy that's for sure.

Kids and Cousins

We had a great time visiting family in Utah. We can't believe how big all the cousins have gotten. Chantz celebrated his birthday playing Laser Tag....they had a blast. Chantz also had a blast playing golf on the computer at Uncle Brandon and Aunt Dayna's house. We also got to be there for Aspens birthday. Sage of course malled the babies to dealth. Rylan is quite the character. McKinley is already so big! Graycee....what a precious little cuddle bug! She seemed extra tiny after holding McKinley. They just grow too fast. Riata is going to be taller than her mom in no time. Kanyon is still the entertainer of the group. Kyle and Nate aren't even boys anymore they are polite young men. Skyler hasn't changed a bit all he cared about was playing with Chantz....didn't hardly know anyone else was there. Those precious little Albrecht girls I can't believe Aspen is already 5, and Dallee or should I say smiley what some cuties. Kelli, Cole, Lainee, and Toree (our adopted family) we had such a great time with them. Love you Kel, don't know what I would do without you. Weston is now addicted to Guitar Hero thanks to Owen and Skyler. We miss you all.....can't wait to see you all again.
