Skiing again! Someones addicted!

We went skiing again on Saturday. It was the perfect day to ski. The sun was shining all day and we even had to take our coats off it was so warm. We had alot of fun. The kids are pros by now. They even went on the T-bar and the harder ski runs that had me scared to dealth. As many of you know this was only my 4th time skiing (and I am chicken....I don't seem to fall as softly as I used to for some reason HA! HA!) so I pretty much just snowplow down the hills. The T-bar was the scariest for me though, and Chantz he goes up it by himself like a pro. I would have been just as happy staying on the rope tow bunny hill all day, but no...my family has to do the hard stuff. The kids have too much of thier fathers NO fear in them!

Here's proof that I actually did ski not just take pics. Although I am sure feeling every sore muscle in my body today. I can't remember the last time I felt all of these muscles.
Sage was being such a goof ball. It was pure entertainment just to ski down the hill with her to see what the next thing she was going come up with would be.

Chantz going up the T-bar!
Sage and Weston on the T-bar.

So photogenic aren't they! I made them stop to take pictures in the middle of the ski run, Chantz wasn't so enthuised about it. But that's what moms do right!

Skiing

Today we went skiing at the little ski hill they have on Cedar Pass just about 20 minutes from here. They have a small lodge with a rope tow and and a T-bar. It is all run by volunteers. It is pretty neat. This was Chantz and Sages first time skiing and they caught on so fast, especially Sage (which really surprised us) their instructor was really good and had them skiing in no time. Needless to say the kids are now both addicted to skiing. They didn't want to leave. They ended the day entering the ski races and Sage won 2nd in the girls and Chantz won 3rd in the boys. Not bad for their first time skiing.

It has now snowed for days and days now. They are saying that this is more snow this area has gotten in more than 15 years. Weston is getting snowmobile fever. Especially after skiing today.
(Just noticed that I should update the date on my camera)

Sage and Nikki

This is Sage's favorite thing her American Girl Doll Nikki! Although if you call her a doll you will be quickly corrected by Sage that she is not a doll she is her little girl. She is so cute with her. She was so surprised when she got her for Christmas, because she had checked the American Girl website everyday for a month and it always said that Nikki was sold out. She came to the conclusion that she must have been a really good girl and another girl that had asked for Nikki before they were sold out was bad so Santa gave her the doll instead. I wonder how her mind works so fast all the time, she never misses anything and she will argue with you until you give in if she thinks she is right (which is most of the time). Unfortunately her dad and brother get great joy out of teasing her about Nikki which usually ends in tears which then make them feel bad.

Caught!

I came home from work one day and asked the kids where Weston was. They said he is upstair asleep. So I walked up the stairs into Sages room to find him cuddled up with Sages favorite Doll Nikki with Chantz's favorite blanket. Now... I don't know if the kids plotted this scene, but it was pretty funny so I ran back down the stairs to get the camera for proof!

ARTHERITIS

So-- Sage comes home from school one day with the question--Is ARTHERITIS (this is how she says arthritis) when boys only have one nut! Weston and I looked at each other and just burst out laughing. After we gathered our composure we asked her who told her that. She said that a boy at school told her that is what it was. So we proceeded to tell her the real definition of arthritis.

Here We Go!

So I have been saying I am going to start a blog for weeks now and I am finally doing it. At least I am trying to figure it all out. The hardest part was the argument between Weston and I on a name for our blog. Anyway we are looking forward to keeping in touch with everyone through the blog. Kids grow up so fast and it is always fun to hear the funny kid stories. I have to say this has been a quite interesting year with all the questions my kids have come home with. Hope everyone enjoys our blogs as much as we enjoy theirs!
