Ready for this SUPER long update

Baseball Season
Baseball season is almost over, only one more game. Chantz has done a great job this year. He played catch quite a bit and loves it.

This is Chantz batting.

Playing Catch.

Catch again.

Memorial Day Camping
Over the holiday weekend we went camping with our friends the MacDonnells. We had a great time playing cards, horseshoes, and had great food. The kids had a blast playing in the creek and I even got to take them snipe hunting, which was the highlight of the weekend.
Weston relaxing by the fire.

Sage and her Jiffy Pop!

Sage was the photographer of the weekend. I must have made a good throw at horseshoes.

Mothers Day Tea
Chantz's class hosted a Mother's Day Tea where we had Tea and cookies and listened to poems that each of the kids wrote for their moms. This is the poem Chantz wrote for me:
My Mom and Me
Mom I have fun riding and roping with you.
I can't say thank you enough for all the things you give me.
You are so beautiful that I can't say.
I love you so much.
Happy Mother's Day!
Of course it made me cry.....he is such a sweet boy!

Modoc Idol

Sage won 3rd place out of 16 contestants in Modoc Idol on Sunday night. She did fantastic! One of the judges comments was "The saying goes those boots were made for walkin, but her boot were made for rockin". It was pretty funny! She won $50 so she was thrilled. She also made over $35 from her Snak Shak that she had at her Gramps clinic this past weekend. She is saving up for a camera so she is pretty excited that she is close to having enough money for the one she wants.

Californios

Chantz won the Youth Heritage Class at Californios last weekend. He did so good! He threw a beautiful hip shot and caught on his first loop. His horsmanship was wonderful...we are so proud of him. I know alot of you don't know what Californios is, but to Chantz it is like winning the NFR! He loves it. He says it is better than Christmas. He was so excited! This year was the 10th anniversary of Californios and he won a beautiful hand engraved custom Concho for his saddle and some money. I will try and post some pictures of him roping later, but here is a picture of his prize.

Quick Update

Here are a few pictures of Easter and Sages performance at Modoc Idol. She will perform in the finals on Sunday May 3rd. So we will let you know how that goes. She did really good, but she was really nervous. I am trying to figure out how to download the video, but it is not working. I will keep working on it.

Happy Easter!

Miss Sage

Sage had quite the eventful day yesterday! She FINALLY lost her other front tooth! They were in bed and evidently Chantz didn't want to sleep by himself so he went to get in bed with Sage and when he was pulling up the covers accidentally hit her in the mouth. No tears- no crying she just came down the stairs saying Chantz just knocked my tooth out. There wasn't even any blood...it has been so loose for so long I am surprised she didn't swallow it in her sleep.
Sage was awarded Star Student of the Month for April. Her school just started this program and she was so happy to get the award. She got her picture taken for the newspaper and got to have cupcakes and punch with the principal. Her teacher had great things to say about her.

Yesterday was also her music program. If I can figure out how to get the video off my camera and onto the computer I will post a little bit from the program later. They sang this pirate song and I thought I was going to pee my pants laughing at her actions to the song.
We are so proud of our precious little girl!
She is going to be competing in "Modoc Idol" (Modoc county version of American Idol) next weekend so we will let you know how she does. She is singing Our Song by Taylor Swift.

Busy/Fun Weekend

We had quite the eventful weekend-
1. Weston and I celebrated our 11th anniversary on Saturday the 4th! Holy Cow I can't believe it has been 11 years! We didn't do anything real exciting we just went to dinner which was nice. I am so grateful to have such a great husband who is so good to me!

2. Sunday the 5th the kids had the their Awana Grand Prix Race. They had a lot of fun racing their cars. Gramps and Grams even made their own cars to race in the open division. Chantz won the award for most unique in his division and Gramps won the award for most unique in the open division. I forgot to take a picture of Gramps and Grams cars so I will have to post that later.

3. I turned the big 33 on Monday. Weston and the kids got me cheesecake on Sunday night since Weston wasn't going to be home on Monday. The kids got me a pink bag of my own tools...so cute! My dad called and took me to lunch on my birthday which was the highlight of my day! I can't remember that last time we did that.

Off & Running

Well it's that time of year again when it seems that we never have enough time in the day! Here is a few things we have going on right now: Wrestling (practice 2 or 3 times a week plus touraments on the weekends), 4-H (Chantz is showing pigs this year), Awana's(every week), helping gramps with the colts, roping (Californio's is the end of April), baseball starting in April, helping with 2 of Gramps clinics coming up. All of this and Weston is now working out of town again so he is only home on the weekends and I am crazy busy at work! Here are a few pictures of Chantz wrestling the last 2 weekends. He has been doing pretty good...second and third place is his divisions. This last weekend he had to bump up a weight because he gained a pound (which he needs to gain weight he is such a skinny little thing) weighing 66 so he had to be in the 70 and under instead of 65 and under so that put him in a lot tougher group. He wrestled really well and learned alot!
